Ava's 3 Months!!!

Well I have been a bad mom and not updating the blog... Sorry to those of you who have been waiting!! I'm back to work 3 days and I am still getting used to the new schedule! Ava is now 3 months and soon to be 4! Time is already flying by. She had her 2month well visit and was 23.5 inches long, 12lbs 13oz. She also received her shots which was a sad day for mom... however she did great! Ava is now well over 13 lbs and is growing tall like a weed! I guess she will be like her daddy! She is becoming more and more interested in her surroundings everyday, therefore making us excited to watch all her new findings. She is now grabbing onto her toys or anything she can get within reach, and putting them into her mouth. She enjoys chewing and sucking on her hand. The drool is starting, and there is always a little proof where she has been laying! She still is a very picky eater, some days she wants nothing but a bottle; and other days she only wants mom. This has been a big frustrating thing for me, but I keep telling myself its only for a little longer!

She is becoming more interested in her toys that before she could of cared less about. She also is laughing at anything she feels deserves her cute squeals (this is mostly saved for her daddy, however I like to believe I get the biggest smiles :) !) Here is a video of daddy singing and her laughing (sorry its a little blurry.. my camera is old) BTW she loves listening to oldies with her daddy.

She LOVES to smile and talk, talk, talk. I am very fortunate to get awoken by her every morning cooing and talking to herself. Sometimes she will do it for a 1/2hr or so... and trust me I enjoy every second it lets me sleep just a little more! Ava is content wherever she is as long as her diaper is clean, tummy is full, and she is not tired. She will just talk to herself contently until her next nap. This makes it a little easier for those stuck babysitting (Grandma L and Auntie Jackie!!) THANK YOU, by the way! Ava mostly loves to be talked to, if you talk to her she will smile and just keep talking right back to you. Her health is now good, she is still taking her medicine to help with her tummy... but it is working!! Thank goodness! No rolling over yet but she is making attempts to sit up and lay on her side, I'm hoping it is soon. She thinks the T.V. is god and sometimes just ignores her toys to see the colors and movements! (See video below) She does tummy time daily now, because we can finally lay her flat for short periods of time. She is getting stronger everyday.

Ava also enjoyed meeting many new family the past months. She celebrated her first Easter with the Lyncha family and got to meet all her great Aunts and Uncles as well as cousins! She also got to meet her Great Aunt Joyce, Uncle Dean and cousin Julie who traveled all the way from Spokane Washington to meet her. They arrived on separate visits and poor Julie came when I was sick...and so was Lucas. Sorry again Jules, poor girl was bored out of her mind!!

And lastly Ava had her first night in her own room. She was just getting too big for her bassinet. It was sad for us, we missed her all night. However we found she somehow managed to get out of her tight swaddle and woke up cold and not happy! (To all of you who know of the swaddle, you will appreciate this picture). How she managed that we will never know! Well I think that is everything for now. I will try to post again in a more timely fashion next time.
