Ava's Smiling!

Well hello everyone, sorry on the delays of Ava's new posts...It has been busy!! Ava is now 9 weeks old today, 12lbs 2oz, 24inches long. She loves to give BIG smiles to anyone who will pay attention to her; and she is a talker (just like her mamma)! Everyday she is getting stronger and stronger and we are looking forward to more fun milestones! We took her for her one month pictures and she did so great. (I will be handing out copies at Easter).

Mommy has been very stressed lately with the new mommy syndrome... worrying about everything. Ava has had some slight problems since birth and we have been anxiously awaiting test results to see if she would need to have surgery.... the results are in and she is FINE!! That was the best news I could of ever received after waiting a full month wondering. However she has an abnormally severe case of acid reflux for her age; and we have struggled to find a medication that will work. Right now she seems to be doing well on her increased dosage of new meds.. Keeping our fingers crossed! When Ava's acid bothers her she goes on hunger strikes the most recent was for a week long we were practically force feeding her until she just stopped altogether. Very worried we made the trip to the ER in the wee hours of the morning. This forced the medication update and now she is starting to get her appetite back slowly but surely! And lastly Mommy is sick with a bad cold and sore throat... Thanks nephew/cousin Lucas!! Its so hard not to play with him though, he's soo darn cute!! I am hoping Ava will not be sick!

Daddy on the other hand is wonderful! He has somehow managed to stay focused and calm during all of the previous events, AND put up with me!! Who, by the way; has been a emotional basket case for the past 9 weeks crying at everything!! Oh the joys of motherhood! He is the most amazing father (along with our dads and Jay too of course)! He loves us very much and is soooo wonderful with Ava... she loves her daddy too! Its hard for him to leave her in the morning, I keep telling him maybe will strike it big and he can stay home with us. LOL. I have been picking up an evening and weekend half shift at work for some extra money and to get out. I still have 3 more weeks of my maternity leave however, Aaron is home from work by time I go in so we do not need a sitter. Aaron enjoys these alone times with Ava. He usually has a fun filled day planned with her when he knows Mommy will not be home. He also enjoys dressing her in his green bay packers onsie, among other outfits I come home to find her in! That's all for now, Happy Easter and Spring!!!
