Ava's One Month Old!!!

Well we have been very busy here lately... Ava would like to wish everyone a happy belated Valentines day!! We had a very special outfit for her to wear this day, with many thanks to Ruth and Terry Kichurchak! She of course looked adorable! Aaron and I ordered take out, and our little munchkin actually slept the whole time we ate. She must of known it was valentines day and gave mommy and daddy a quiet dinner for once!!We went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Lyncha the next day. Grandpa was very lucky to have gotten to hold a very sleepy Ava for a whole 4 hours.. she loved cuddling with her grandpa! Ava is also looking forward to meeting and cuddling with Grandma and Grandpa Boetticher when things settle down and some of this crazy winter weather disappears!

Ava will be one month old this week on Wednesday!!! Time is already flying by. Recently we have been visiting the doctors ( one appointment everyday last week!) because she is having some troubles... but it is nothing that cant be taken care of. Needless to say during this time I have been VERY emotional, stressed, sleep deprived, etc. (you know how it is)! I know that the first couple of months are hard so I am just keeping strong and telling myself shes already a month old... only a couple more to go until things may get easier! ( I hope). So this is where all of our time is going right now. On a lighter note she is very healthy and growing more and more everyday. She weighs, as of last week, 10lbs 4 oz and is 22inches long!! She is in the 94% for her weight and 96% for her height!! OUR BIG CHUBBY GIRL!! Her 0-3 month clothes are getting very snug and some don't even zip with out tugging! We would of never thought we would have to be buying clothes at one month!!

Everyday Ava is looking more and more like her daddy, what a complete turn-around. When she was born she looked identical to her mommy, and now she only has small versions of Mommy's hands and toes. Her eyes are very blue, We all cant believe it.. they don't look like they will turn brown at all. Her hair is still sandy blonde and she has dimples, every time she gets her gassy smiles! She will melt any ones heart! We all love her and could not imagine life without her.

And lastly our little Ava surprised us Saturday morning when daddy was feeding her, he let go of her bottle and this is what she did..... she propped it up herself when she wasn't getting any more food! We could not believe our eyes, I'm sure it was just a coincidence. But very awesome to see!

Avas One Week Well Visit

Well today we took our little Ava to see her pediatrician for her one week check. Ava's statistics are.. Weight: 9lbs 8oz, Length 21 inches ( she actually shrunk due to the loss of her cone head!!). We also learned some sad but expected news, due to Ava's large size and the very rough delivery she has a broken collar bone on the left side!!! When Ava's Dr visited us in the hospital she had suspected that she may have broke it, but needed to wait until the bones were more firm to really tell. And that day came today. We got the x-rays and it is plane as day. I was so sad and upset. And poor Ava did not like the x-ray on the cold table either. The Dr believes that nothing will need to be done and that it should heal on its own. However she still is referring us to see a orthopedic surgeon just to check. Our appointment is scheduled for Monday, we will keep you posted on the outcomes!

Other than that she is doing great!! She gets more beautiful as each day goes by. She is eating so well and gaining weight, that I can start feeding her every 3 hours instead of every 2! I am so thrilled about this, just that small adjustment may let me sleep a little bit more each day hopefully. Until next time Ava sends all her love!!

My First Outing!!!

Well our little chubby girl gave us a VERY HARD TIME her first few days home. As new exhausted parents this was really a nightmare. Our little angel was on her best behavior the whole time we were in the hospital and eating like a champ... then we were released home. We arrived home Friday evening and feeding time came and past for little Ava decided she was just not going to eat. The next feeding time also passed with her giving mom and dad nothing but screams when we tried to feed her. Mom was very emotional at this point, and felt horrible as she screamed louder because she was starving!! Every attempt to feed her though was not accepted. So needless to say we had to call the hospital Saturday morning and let them know that our little one had not eaten in 10 hours. They made us bring her back to the hospital for a nurse to help us out. So we bundled our love bug and headed to the hospital. And even though she was starving she just looked so cute....

Needless to say our problem was solved and now she wont stop eating, sleeping, and pooping... what a life. She truly has stolen our hearts, and we are at her every little whimper anxiously awaiting her next need. It is amazing how she has changed our life so quickly for the better. Mom and dad could not be happier!!

Oh I forgot I must post Aaron and my favorite picture. This was seconds after she was born and was screaming in the cold new air.. Aaron walked over to her and said Ava.. She immediately stopped crying and she latched on to his finger see the treasured picture below. Aaron will remember that moment forever!! What a Hallmark moment!!
