Its a GIRL!!!

Its a GIRL!!
Well after many hours, Our little bundle entered the world! Ava Loclynn Boetticher was born on January 28th at 4:29am. So from the start of the induction to the end we spent a total of 34.5 hours in labor. Not the best experience but worth every second. She is a joy!! Ava was born with a full head of dirty blonde hair.. Its more like a mullet, business in the front and a party in the back! She has dark blue eyes as of now but we know that may change. Much to my dismay, Aaron won the ongoing bet we had. I was insistent that my dark brown hair and eyes would out weigh his recessive blonde and blue genes... I was very wrong. We know that as time goes on it may still change, he will always be able to say that from the start he at least was right.

Ava was also a very big girl ( watch out cousin Lucas, You may be older but she will be stronger! lol) Weighing in at 9lbs 7.5oz and 21inches long!!! And we wonder why she would not come out!! Dr was very surprised and maybe irritated when she was weighed in.. because 4 days prior he had me get a ultrasound and the woman said she was 8lbs.. she was very wrong!! We arrived home today on the 30th to start parenthood alone..! We are a little nervous of what to expect in the days to come, let alone tonight. As of now she sleeps alot, and only cries when she is hungry, poopy, or just wants to be cuddled. We are very lucky for this and hope it does not change. I will keep you posted on our luck. Please enjoy the pictures of our little one. There will be many more to come. Check back soon!

Its time!

After a very long and anxious wait, there is finally light at the end of the tunnel! We got news today that this evening my Dr is going to start the induction of our baby! All last week we were on pins and needles for any little sign of going into labor. As the days progressed and the phone calls increased.... NOTHING! So it was back to the Dr's twice a week now, still NOTHING. So last week on Friday, Dr stated that if nothing happens that weekend, then come Monday I will go to the birthing center for induction. And yes today is Monday.

Our bags have been packed and I think we are as ready as we could be. Aaron is very excited and I am, well, scared of the unknown. I am sad, in a way, to be induced because I would of loved to have that somewhat "normal" scenario.. You know the OH MY WATER BROKE, then shortly to follow progression of contractions, then baby. I however was not so lucky; and so I hear from others, that scenario very rarely occurs on the first baby. My sister and I like to think that we just have really nice wombs for the baby, and they don't want to leave. So for now we wait, but not for long. Now we know that within the next day or two our little baby Boetticher will finally make the much awaited entrance into this world!!! Until then.. Wish me luck!
